HIGHRISE: Compare and Contrast Essay

Have you ever heard of the website 'HIGHRISE' before? If you hadn't click here to know what site this is about. My person is Durdane from Istanbul, Turkey. I chose this woman because my mom had been to Turkey and I want to know how it is to be living in Istanbul. Today I am writing about a compare and contrast essay. I will compare and contrast what we see out our window and our life in our hometown and place.

When Durdane looks out her window she sees gecekondu is all around her home. Gecekondu is a self-built squatter home. 65% of Istanbul residents live in self-built squatter district. She came here aged 15 after marrying and stayed here for 30years.
